- Diagnostic port, fuse boxes and wiring harness
- Radio environment during standstill and, where agreed, during a test drive
- Conspicuous power draws and non-original components
How the examination is carried out
- 1.Documented visual and physical inspection, section by section
- 2.Radio measurement across the relevant frequency ranges
- 3.Assessment of any device found, without altering it unnecessarily
- 4.Written findings with photographs and location details
Technical limits
These limits are stated before the instruction, not afterwards.
- Passive loggers without transmission are only found by physical inspection.
- Devices that transmit rarely may not be active during the measurement window.
- Complete dismantling of the vehicle is not part of a standard screening.
- A negative result reduces, but does not eliminate, the possibility of a device being present.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Vehicle screening: frequently asked questions
Two to four hours for a standard vehicle, depending on size, fittings and the depth of inspection agreed.
On site, at the location to be examined. Rooms, cabling, power supply and the radio environment can only be measured where they are; a remote examination is not possible.
Whether an expert report is used in proceedings, and what evidential value it carries, is decided by the competent court or investigating authority. Our examinations are documented so that third parties can review them: recorded handover, cryptographic hashes, described methods and a clear separation between technical finding and assessment. A binding assurance of later admissibility cannot be given.
